OK. So do not be fooled by the name, Gigglin Racing. This is one team with some serious pedigree going on. Mark and Liam Sutherland form a formidable on water father and son crew; one that has been racing offshore since 2017. They won their Sport65 class in 2022, and also the Kevin Wyld Trophy. Yes. They are super keen to defend it all in 2023. They have also previously been involved in ski and circuit racing, so competition is alive and healthy here, and you can bet they are into the thrill of it all.

The kicker is that one Barry Sutherland is the trailer driver, technical advisor, also the mechanic, and you guessed it, he’s the grandad. Barry raced back in the 60s and 70s, and the team cites Geelong as their favourite venue.
