Large Crowds and tight racing at Lake Macquarie 2017

Round 4 at Lake Macquarie was an outstanding weekend with large crowds watching the close racing all around the lake.

For the first time there were 3 races over the weekend with the Saturday pole position shootout being replaced with a race.

Supercat Extreme team “Maritimo 12” dominated the weekend with 3 wins, “Mega Fuels” picked up 23rds and a 2nd, “222 offshore” a 2nd , 3rd and a DNF, The surprise package for the weekend was “Team 3” taking it to Maritimo but had trouble in 2 races with a 4th, 2nd and DNF,

Supercat Outboard had an battle between “Team 88 powerzone”, “Phantom” and “Saracen” with the lead changing over several laps and not more 20 seconds between the boats,

“Team 88 powerzone” 2 1st and a 2nd, “Phantom” a 1st and 2 2nds, “Saracen” 3 3rds,

Teams really enjoyed the track and the large crowds supporting the event, this all would not be possible without great local support,

Marmong Point Marina

Lake Macquarie City Council

Dantia and the 200 club

NSW Roads and Maritime

Wilson Lift
