The Pilot of 222 Offshore is Darren Nicholson, a name that is also well known in the world of sailing. The Nicholson brothers to this day maintain national records and world titles, but Darren prefers to be powered by supercharged V8 engines these days as opposed to wind power. In the short time Darren has been racing Offshore Powerboats, he’s won the Australian title, the historic Venice to Monte Carlo Lion of the Sea race, XCAT races and holds the most wins by any Australian in the UIM Class One Championships in Europe and the Middle East with 2 wins and several podiums.  Most recently, 222 Offshore Australia finished 2nd in the Class One World Championship in the USA.
